Blue Jadeite Pagoda Censer
A seal on the bottom of this carving indicates it was made during the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795). It is believed that it was used to burn incense in the Imperial Palace in Beijing, China. The pagoda consists of eight separate sections carefully fitted together. The rare blue jadeite was mined in The Union of Myanmar (Burma), the source of much of the finest jadeite, and carved in China.
