“A gem of a museum”
– Pioneer Press
1990 to 2019
In the last 29 years the Museum has hosted numerous local, national and international lapidary artists, held over 1,000 weekend programs and organized nearly 100 collecting field trips. We could not have done it without the help of our dedicated staff, volunteers and support from our patrons and members.
As we close our doors in Elmhurst at the end of May, we hope you will join us at our new location in Oak Brook, opening in the fall of 2019. We look forward to sharing our experience of rocks & minerals and appreciating the beauty of lapidary art.
Thanks for the memories Elmhurst!
Construction on the new Museum in Oak Brook is underway! When the Museum closes in Elmhurst we expect a down period before reopening in Oak Brook. We will continue sending you our e-newsletters and updates as we move along in the process. There will be opportunities for naming rights of new exhibit cases and certain areas in the new building. If you are interested in donating, please contact the Museum for more information on how your contribution can be used in the new facility. I look forward to keeping in touch with our members and patrons in the coming months. We will be sending our Winter Calendar of programs and events in December. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
