The Lunar New Year season lasts from January 21 to mid-February 2023. Educator Yvonne Wolf will describe the Chinese lunar calendar in relation to the Chinese New Year, as well as the relationship to flowers and include flower motifs on the carved pieces in the collection. Look for signs of Spring as we welcome the Year of the Hare.

    Geologist Sara Kurth presents an interactive lecture on volcanoes. Learn how volcanoes work and compare different eruption styles. It will focus on recent eruptions and explore how volcanoes can affect local and global communities. Hands-on specimens will be available.
