Join Dave Dolak on a trip to Braidwood, Illinois to collect Mazon Creek fossils at selected sites within the historic coal strip mining area. Join Dave Dolak on a tour of the Chicago geologic story. From the 400 million year-old dolomite bedrock deposited in a tropical ocean to the hills and rocks deposited by the glaciers that carved our landscape 20,000 years ago. Light walking (1-2 miles total) will be required.
