Group Information
An introductory presentation is available to groups of 10 or more visiting the Museum. Reservations must be made, and tours can be arranged for groups with special interests or needs. Check out our calendar availability here, call the Museum during regular hours at 630.833.1616, or email: educator@lizzadromuseum.org for tour availability.
Group visits include an introduction presentation given by a Museum Docent, followed by a 15-minute video on the collection. You can preview the film by clicking here. Docent-led tours, special programs or specific topic tours must be arranged prior to your visit and include additional fees.
Program Times
Programs are offered to groups Tuesday through Saturday. The first program begins at 10:00 a.m., and the latest program start time is 3:30 p.m.* Total visiting time for group tours is one and a half hours not to exceed two hours.
*The Museum closes promptly at 5:00 p.m. Groups scheduled at 3:30 p.m. are not to exceed one and a half hour tour time.
Program Types
Organized Adult and Senior Groups are welcome to schedule a program at the Lizzadro Museum. Adult Groups require a minimum of 10 people. Groups of 30 or more can request a group rate of $7 per person with advanced notice. Independent exhibit exploration on Wednesdays are free for groups with or without reservations.
Groups with a scheduled program must pay a deposit for the minimum requirement of 10 guests within 2 weeks of receiving booking confirmation.
- Independent Exhibit Exploration is an unguided, self-paced exploration of the exhibits. Advanced reservations for these tours is not required. Cost is regular Museum admission and is free on Wednesdays.
- Introductory Presentations include an overview of the Lizzadro Museum and a 15-minute video about the collection. Following the video, visitors are welcome to tour the Museum on their own. Cost for the Introductory Presentation is included with regular Museum admission with advanced reservations:
$10.00 Adults, $8.00 Senior Citizens (65+) - Docent-Led Tours are available upon request. This includes the Introductory Presentation and 15-minute video, as well as a docent-led highlights tour. Cost for the Docent-Led Tour is the same as the Introductory Presentation, as well as an additional add-on fee of $2 per person. These tours are limited to a maximum of 20 people. Tours are not available on Wednesdays.

The Lizzadro Museum Shop offers something for every budget and every kind of collector. Parking
Ample parking is free and available at the Museum entrance. A designated bus parking lot is located at the north end of the Museum parking lot. Buses can drop off visitors at the south end of the parking lot near the Museum entrance. Buses are not allowed on the roundabout. Oversized buses are not permitted to double park in the south parking lot. If driving individually, please park on the east side of the parking lot. Visitors should enter the Museum through the main entrance at the south end of the building. Group organizers need to check in at the front desk upon arrival. Tours begin in the Museum Lecture Hall.
Lunch
Food and beverages are not permitted in the Museum and there is no food service available at the Museum. Oversized backpacks are not permitted in gallery space. Groups may contact the Oak Brook Park District located south of the Museum to rent lunch space. Please contact Lily Liburdi at lliburdi@obparks.org (630) 645-9531 with your group information. Nearby Restaurants: On 22nd Street and York there are several restaurants including Egg Harbor, Chipotle, Roti, Jason’s Deli, Protein Bar and STEAM Coffee Co. Going north on Jorie Blvd., turn east on 22nd street. All the above can be found on the north side of 22nd street.
