Kanab Goldenstone

This is natural sandstone, formed 180 to 225 million years ago by wind and water at the base of the geological formation “Shinarump”. The color and design were induced by a mineral spring containing iron oxides. This beautiful product of nature has not been altered in any way except sawed into slabs. Found near Kanab, Utah. It is truly “Nature’s most beautiful paintings”.
