Description

Green Copper Turquoise is a variety of Mohave Turquoise, a stabilized and treated composite. It is not naturally occurring stone but is created by infusing natural turquoise with other minerals, such as copper or brass to enhance its color and stability. Generally, low-grade chalk turquoise is treated under heat and pressure to allow the additional minerals to permeate the stone. This results in a striking range of colors, including vibrant greens and blues, often with intricate matrix patterns. The resulting composite stone is used to create jewelry. There is also another variety of Mohave Turquoise known as Mohave Blue Turquoise.
