Description

Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar, part of the feldspar group which makes up over half of the Earth’s crust. The play of colors (labradoresence) is caused by microscopic inclusions, or by the scattering of light from thin layers of a second feldspar. Deposits are found in Canada (Labrador), Madagascar, Russia, and Australia. Labradorite from Finland is known as Spectrolite.

Labradorite freeform measures 5″ x 7″ and weighs 6lbs.
