Description

Splash Copper is created when molten copper is splashed onto a flat surface, where it cools and forms in organic, free form shapes. When it has fully cooled, a chemical patina is applied which turns the copper into a turquoise color. Then, sections are buff polished to remove the patina and reveal the glowing copper beneath before finally being sealed to preserve the two contrasting colors. This copper is native copper from Keweenaw, MI.
