Description
Polychromatic Jasper is a colorful new jasper discovered in 2006. Geologists in Madagascar discovered it while searching for the currently mined-out Ocean Jasper. The name polychrome means multi-colored. Polychromatic Jasper was most likely formed during the cooling phase of volcanic action. The unique coloring of this jasper is due to the mineral content of the original sediments or ash.
Polychrome jasper bowl sizes, shape, and formations vary.
